This project involves the demolition of the existing tub and shower in the main bathroom, followed by the installation of a new center-drain shower pan with wall surrounds and a pony wall. A tempered glass panel will be installed to complete the shower enclosure. Electrical upgrades include installing a recessed LED light above the shower on a dedicated 15-amp circuit and adding two new 20-amp outlets where the tub was previously located. All plumbing and electrical work must be properly capped, installed, and compliant with relevant codes.
Demolish the existing side-by-side bathtub and shower in the main bathroom. Properly cap all plumbing and drain lines associated with the removed tub. Install a center-drain shower pan along with new wall surrounds to create a fully enclosed shower area. Construct a pony wall measuring 36 inches long, 108 inches high, and 4 inches wide to separate the shower space. Install a 1/4-inch tempered glass panel as part of the shower enclosure. Add a 6-inch LED recessed can light above the shower area, powered by a 15-amp circuit using 14-2 Romex wiring. Additionally, install two new electrical outlets in the area previously occupied by the tub, connected to a 20-amp circuit using 12-2 Romex wiring. Ensure all work complies with applicable building codes and safety standards.
