This release puts real local data in front of homeowners and makes sure a posted job actually reaches someone. New cost and permit guides built from Virginia Beach and Chesapeake's own building-permit records, free quote-comparison tools, and much richer contractor profiles arrive alongside a repaired job flow that now sends your project to matched local contractors. We also tightened wording across the site so it describes exactly what BidBro does and what you can expect.
BidBro 2.9.0 — Reviews, Profile Claiming, the Pro Network & Sharper Local Pages

The biggest release yet for contractors. You can now claim your business profile, collect and display reviews, manage your own plan without emailing us, and — through the new BidBro Pro Network — sell your services directly from partner sites. We also rebuilt large parts of how our local pages describe themselves, so the right customers find the right trade.
BidBro 2.8.0 — Messaging for Customers, Subscription Plans & Local Search Depth

Customers can now message contractors directly, with proximity-aware search and optional address sharing so quotes are more accurate. Contractors get monthly credit plans instead of one-off purchases. Behind the scenes, we built out deep local pages for Virginia Beach and the wider Hampton Roads area so the right jobs and pros are easier to find.
BidBro 2.7.0 — Get Found: City Guides, Glossary & Discovery Improvements

A release focused on being found. We published in-depth city guides and a 100-term construction glossary, made every page share properly on social media and with AI assistants, and cleaned up navigation so the Create Job button and sign-in are exactly where you expect them.
BidBro 2.6.0 — Contractor Messaging, Contact Credits & Live Payments

Contractors can now message each other directly, payments went live, and pricing moved to a simpler contact-credit model. We also added a split map view for finding nearby matches and made a significant round of speed improvements.
BidBro 2.5.0 — Pro Networking, Reporting Dashboard & Email Preferences

Contractors can now be matched with each other through a short questionnaire, and we shipped a full reporting dashboard behind the scenes. On the public side, this release adds an About Us page, an email preference centre, and one-click unsubscribe on every message we send.
BidBro 2.4.0 — Rebuilt for Speed & the Launch of BidBro Pro

The largest technical change in BidBro's history: the entire public site was rebuilt on Next.js for faster loading and better search visibility. Alongside it we launched BidBro Pro — a subcontractor marketplace with service listings, job templates, bulk import, and an AI assistant to help you find the right trade.
This release focuses on speed and smoothness across the site. Key browsing pages now feel faster and more consistent, job discovery in city pages is more predictable, and we’ve polished several small UI details (including a clearer Contact experience).
