Our Story
BidBro started the way most good ideas do — out of frustration. After dealing with the headache of finding reliable contractors for home projects, it became clear that the process was stuck in the past: endless phone calls, inconsistent pricing, and no easy way to compare options.
At the same time, talking to contractors revealed the other side of the problem. Good tradespeople were spending too much time chasing leads and not enough time doing what they do best — building. They needed a better way to find projects that actually matched their skills and service area.
BidBro was built to solve both sides of that equation. By combining modern technology with deep knowledge of how the construction industry actually works, we created a platform that’s fast, transparent, and fair for everyone involved.
Leadership
Shaun O’Toole is a software architect and technical leader based in Virginia Beach, Virginia. With deep expertise in AI systems, full-stack development, and enterprise architecture, he brings over a decade of experience building complex, production-grade software platforms.
By day, Shaun serves as an AI Systems Architect supporting federal technology programs, where he designs and implements agentic AI systems and cloud-native applications. He founded BidBro to apply that same engineering rigor to a problem he experienced firsthand — the inefficiency of finding and hiring contractors for home improvement projects.
