Commercial Building Addition for Mercers Produce Stand with Public Restroom Access

This project involves a commercial building addition and/or alteration to accommodate a new tenant, Mercers Produce Stand, classified under Use Group M with Construction Type VB. The occupant load is limited to 10 persons. The tenant space is non-sprinklered and does not include restroom facilities on-site. Required restrooms are located in an adjacent building at 620 10th Street. Directional signage must be installed in the tenant lobby, corridors, aisles, or similar spaces, clearly indicating the route to the public toilet facilities. The signage must be visible from the main entrance of the building or tenant space. The route to the public restrooms must not pass through kitchens, storage rooms, or closets. Access to these facilities must be available either from within the building or from the exterior. Public access to the required toilet facilities must be maintained at all times when the building is occupied. In the event that the adjacent restrooms become unavailable, code-compliant restroom facilities must be installed within the tenant space or building to ensure continuous compliance with applicable building codes and occupant needs.
