This project involves the supply and installation of a 26kW natural gas Kohler generator to provide whole-house backup power with load shedding. Two 200-amp automatic transfer switches and four load shed power relay modules will be installed next to the electrical panels in the unfinished basement. The load shed system will manage power consumption by selectively shedding the electric dryer, one air conditioning unit, and pool equipment to ensure efficient generator operation. Fence relocation to accommodate the generator installation will be handled by others.
Scope of Work: Furnish and install one (1) 26kW natural gas Kohler generator at the rear northwest side of the house, adjacent to the air conditioning units. The generator will provide whole-house backup power with load shedding capabilities. Note: Relocation of the privacy fence will be completed by others to facilitate generator installation. Furnish and install two (2) 200-amp RXT automatic transfer switches. These transfer switches shall be mounted next to the existing electrical panels in the unfinished basement. Furnish and install four (4) load shed power relay modules to be installed adjacent to the electrical panels in the unfinished basement. The load shed functionality will control the following circuits to optimize generator load management: electric dryer, one (1) air conditioning unit, and pool equipment.
