Building Log for The Sterling - Architectural, Mechanical, and Electrical Updates

This building log pertains to the project at 233 N Clayton St, known as The Sterling. Following the commencement of demolition and construction under permit 2025-COMMCON-0000516, several discrepancies were identified between the work in progress and the originally permitted documents. These discrepancies raised concerns from the owner regarding sound attenuation and electrical capacity. To address these issues, revised drawings have been prepared and include the following updates:

Architecture: The wall layout has been updated to reflect new acoustical exterior walls within the space. Detailed wall sections have been added to the A500 series drawings to ensure compliance with sound mitigation requirements. Additionally, the ceiling layout has been revised to align with the updated mechanical design.

Mechanical: The mechanical layout has been redesigned, including the relocation of existing mechanical units to meet the proposed sound mitigation standards.

Electrical: Due to insufficient available spaces in the existing electrical panel, a new subpanel has been added to accommodate the electrical load requirements.

These updates ensure that the project complies with the owner’s requirements for sound control and electrical capacity, while aligning with the permitted construction scope.
