There are two hardware stores in the Portland neighborhood; one of them is Janes Brothers. When you enter the store it has an old "Mom and Pop" feel, and the deeper you get, the stronger the feeling becomes. The staff is personable, very helpful, and knowledgeable. The prices are almost always the most reasonable around. In many years of shopping there I have seldom left empty handed without a smile.
