true story: my mother-in-law's electrical jammed up this saturday. i called nick on a saturday morning and he took care of me. that's why he's my go-to electrician, and that's why he should be yours. i've used nicholas for at least a half-dozen jobs. all done expertly, professionally, and timely. shows up when they say they are going to, finishes quickly without sacrificing quality. they've done small jobs and large, complicated commercial assignments for me. the most recent wrapped up a week ago. i strongly recommend them to all of my friends and families and to anyone reading this review.

Middle of April I contacted Nicholas Electric Co. to come and check out why we didn't have any power in my grandsons room. John came and did a search into the outlets and ceiling fans. He said he would have to come back with a helper to check into the attic. A couple weeks went by and I finally contacted Nicholas to find out when John was coming back. He did contact me and said he was in the process of hiring a new helper and I would have to wait until the hiring process was over. He also seemed upset that I was questioning when he would be back to finish the job. Well that doesn't help that I have gone 6 weeks without power. I am sure the company has other helpers that could have gone with him to finish this job. I finally contacted another company and was very pleased with them. And their rates were very reasonable. I can't recommend this company because their was no follow through with a job they started, inconvenienced me and lack of professionalism.

I highly recommend Nicholas Electric to anyone I know. My 80-year-old house has needed significant electrical updates. Big jobs: They replaced our service, rewired our basement, rewired our garage, including the underground line from the house to the garage. Smaller jobs: They added dedicated lines for our window air conditioners/ceramic heaters and outlets for our porch. We've had them in and out of the house for probably 10 years. Accurate estimates, work without a minimum of household disruption, careful to clean up afterwards. Wouldn't use anybody else.

WOW! A contractor that actually calls you back and shows up to do the work. We found Nicholas Electric to be very reliable, efficient, and reasonably priced. I do not know a thing about electrical work therefore it was such a relief to find a good electrical contractor. Personally I could not imagine using anybody else!

Nick and his crew provided exceptional service rewiring my 120 year old house about three years ago. Nick provided a comprehensive written estimate beforehand, documented each change I had with a written change order, and charged exactly what he said he would--no surprises. The crew appeared promptly each morning, conferred with me every day before starting, and worked diligently all day, every day until the job was finished. They were always up front about any problems they encountered, and were conscientious and respectful of my property, always being sure to keep entry points in the walls and floors as small as possible. They cleaned up at the end of every day and even corrected shoddy work that had been done by a past electrician at no extra charge. Their work passed the City's inspection process with flying colors. I recommend Nick and crew without reservation as a professional outfit that provides quality work at a reasonable price.

Nick, Jim and Greg have been invaluable in our renovation of a 1924 Chevy dealership into a 17000 sq. ft. dream live/work space. What I prize most about them is their integrity, honesty and desire to make good work. We're mixing the industrial skeleton of the building with some fairly cutting edge products and designs. I was able to explain the layout and designs to these guys, then leave them alone. If you need real craftsmen to help you realize your dreams, I can't recommend them highly enough.

I used Nicholas Electric to locate and repair an electrical dead short. The crew (led by John) was very competent and efficient in troubleshooting and fixing the problem. John displayed extensive knowledge while explaining the methodical process of finding the source of the problem. The work was excellent; the electricians were hard working and skilled problem solvers; Nick was very responsive with pricing info and scheduling; and, the price was fair. I strongly recommend the company.

These guys are amazing. They do all of my electrical work, AND my parents electrical work, AND my friends electrical work. They're friendly, efficient, organized, professional, and very familiar with any of the older homes in Pittsburgh. As far as pricing, it's very fair. These guys are just plain awesome.
