I had major problems with another company and called Family for a second opinion. They were not only able to fix the problem almost immediately, but the staff was fabulous. I would highly recommend them to anyone. Other companies could take a lesson from Family.
I tried to speak to the lady who answered the phone. I need an ac and heat unit. She was so RUDE. Unbelievable that she wouldn’t let me speak. Owner or not they need someone else to talk to potential clients. Never been spoken to so bad. I guess they don’t need new customers. She just kept saying they’ve been in business for 50 yrs. Talked over what I tried to tell her. Don’t use these people. If this is how they act and your not a client can you imagine what they’d be like if you needed service. Keep this up and your doors will be closed.
Very disappointed, heat is out the Sat before Christmas. Couldn't get to us before Dec 27th & no emergency service. Girl on the phone was also very rude.
I learned a lesson dealing with this company. Never sign anything without a lawyer looking at it. And expect a call 3 months after the fact to be ripped off for the permit fees on something you cancelled in due time.
Terrible job! Technician refused to install new furnace venting where agreed upon in contract. His reason was because he had social plans and thought he would be done quicker if he routed it horizontally through the middle of my foyer! As it was, he sawed a 4 inch diameter hole through the side of my house, and if I hadn't physically stopped him he would have sawed into my circuit breaker box. If not for the city inspector putting pressure on them, they would have left several safety issues unresolved.
I had a service call on Tuesday Nov 11,2014 and my technician name was Daniel he left my furnace in horrid condition. My furnace was over 40 years old and I figured I needed a new furnace but he dismantled everything including my circuit breaker and just left. I even gave him a grounded extension cord he spliced that and destroyed it.Please do not make the same mistake I did call anyone but these individuals.
Family Heating and Cooling has more negative reviews then positive reviews, they are hiding 37 negative review on the bottom of this yelp page and they decided to show only 18 good reviews. This is misleading just like their company and their service, please don't use them.
The customer service at this company is horrible, I don't see how they decided to go with the name Family because my worst family member wouldn't treat me less than a human. Their repair guy came to my house on a Saturday and he did his job well but the company didn't have the part I needed on hand, which is understandable. I call the office Saturday a few hours after the repair guy left to get information on the part that I needed but they didn't have any information on how much or how long before I could get the part. I finally received a call on Tuesday morning after I did my own research and obtain my own part for my furnace so I could have heat. I asked the representative if the repair guy could just come and install my part since I already paid $100 and they didn't keep me informed of the process and he said they will have to charge me $50 more to put on my part but free to put on their part on that was marked up. If you are looking for a company to trust please keep looking because this is not the one. ����
