Read a good comment about this shop online and took my car into them. They charge $95 for a diagnostic whether you do the work with them or not and whether it takes them 5 minutes or an hour (this straight from one of the gentlement that works there). The diagnostic did not include a detailed diagnosis of the problem (in my case, where a short was in a particular wire). With the diagnostic, 2 hours of labor (at $100/hour) to find and fix the short and two necessary parts, the estimate was $400 total. I chose not to do the work with them after consulting with a car-saavy friend and picked up my car. Thankfully, they did not charge me for the diagnostic because the gentleman told me there were so many things wrong with my car that he felt badly for me. I took my car to a dealership and they fixed the problem with just the minimum diagnostic/labor charge and 1 replacement part for a total of $180. The problem has not returned in the two weeks I've had it back.
