I got thinking about grounding outlets for HDTV, Blu-Ray player, computer etc. in my 48 year old house. Called a few electricians and decided to go with Cross Electrical. Cross have excellent reviews here as well as on Yelp.com. Doug Cross steered me in the right direction ("no need to rewire the house, we can ground individual outlets to code, and just ground those outlets that need it"). His wife Cathleen handled the work order with timely emails and phone calls. It was a rather small job (3 outlets) and the cost was more than fair (Cathleen gave me a 10% senior citizen discount). Doug and his kid brother Jerry did the job. Cross Electrical is a professional, courteous, fair, five star plus outfit. I thank Doug, Jerry, and Cathleen and will certainly be calling them back for any other electrical work I may need.

I short circuited a section of my electrical connection. I called PG&E rep and he checked everything and figured there may be a bad GFI receptacle or another GFI receptacle that he was not able to locate. I called Cross electric and Cathy started off the diagnostics on the phone itself. If that had fixed the problem, they would have lost the fee as it was free diagnostics. I guess this is where they differ from the mediocre electricians as there was more intent to help a needy person than looking at it as an opportunity to make money. The fee was $10/hr cheaper than another guy I tried and the other person could not come till Tuesday Morning. Doug showed up the same day, zeroed in on the problem and fixed in in no time. Quite impressed and would highly recommend to my friends.

What a wonderful company. Both Doug and Cathy were a pleasure to work with! I had a power outage on one side of my home and two other electricians could not figure out the problem, then a friend told me about Cross Electrical;what a blessing. Doug came out right away and fixed the problem within a half of an hour! The price was great and the friendly personality of both Doug and Cathy made me comfortable and at ease. This team of two is wonderful.

This is the second house we have hired Cross Electric to fix difficult problems. They are professional, know the code and will suggest the right way to do the job. They knew our building inspector who had a high regard for their work. Our work had to be done in stages because some of the finish work depended on other contractors. They were flexible and able to meet our scheduling needs. They are reliable, professional, efficient, knowledgeable and very, very nice people who are a pleasure to get to know. We are very happy with the job and will use them again for any future electrical needs.

I had a short circuit in my electrical system that I couldn't figure out, so I called Cross Electrical, whom a friend had read about in the local paper. Doug came over and took the time to patiently and methodically test each component of the system, light switches and wall outlets. He ended up going through 3 rooms and testing dozens of components, but he finally figured out the source of the malfunction and was able to fix it. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Dealing with Cathy was a pleasure as well; she was courteous, friendly, and understanding. I will definitely to be recommending Cross Electrical to all my friends. Thanks Doug & Cathy!
