I used Standard Heating and Air for years in two different homes, one of which I purchased an entire new heating AND cooling system for, and when I needed an A/C coil replaced last spring, the price they quoted me was ridiculous. Not knowing anything about A/C costs, I asked someone in home building if it was reasonable, and found out they were trying to take me for a ride.I called them back, and after confronting the sales person, he immediately knocked off over $400 (total price quoted was $1900) and told me he was giving me a "special" deal.I found a reasonable deal at two other contractors for $1100 each. Standard, that's some way to treat a faithful customer of 15 years. I shudder to think of all the money they scammed me out of during those 15 years.Buyers, beware of Standard! And when in doubt, GOOGLE to find out what you should be paying or ask someone who knows.

I had a technician come out to my to look at my air conditioner. The fee to to just "look" at the unit is $80. It addition to the fee it cost $140 to check for a leak (this took approximately 30 minutes, 20 of those minutes the technician sat in his van). So $300 later I learned that I had a leak in my unit. Very overpriced!!!
